In honor of our veterans, four excellent books by Dr. Bridget Cantrell come to mind. They all deal with various aspects of the trauma of our men and women in combat. Dr. Cantrell is one of the nation's foremost experts on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). She has traveled extensively around the world and is a gifted, sought-after lecturer. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists. The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs appointed her the Outstanding Female Non-Veteran for her service to veterans in both 2004 and 2008. In 2008. Dr. Cantrell received the Didi Hirsch Foundation Leadership Award for Erasing the Stigma of PTSD.
